HOW TO USE:
- Place the side with the filter in the aquarium
- Place a storage container or bucket underneath the discharge hose to catch the drained water
- Squeeze the blue operation bulb 5 to 7 times to initiate water flow out of the tank. Doing this initiates draining and cleaning.
Note: Sometimes the filter gets blocked by plants, sand, or small rocks. If this occurs take the siphon out of the tank, remove the cap, and gently clear the blockage. When the blockage is cleared put the cap back on and repeat steps 1 to 3 to continue draining. If the drained water will be reused, cover the discharge end of the hose with fabric or thin netting to catch any debris or clotted dirt
